557: Vagus Nerve Healing

In this powerful interview, Ashley reconnects with inventor Mark Fox to explore the groundbreaking world of frequency medicine, PEMF therapy, and vagus nerve support. Together, they dive into the science, the stories, and the surprising ways these technologies are transforming lives—from calming anxiety and improving sleep to supporting PTSD recovery, heart health, and even early innovations aimed at dementia. Mark shares his latest breakthroughs, upcoming studies, and new devices in development, while Ashley brings heartfelt personal experiences that highlight just how life-changing this work can be. This episode is an inspiring look at natural, science-backed tools that help the body heal itself—and a glimpse into a future where frequency-based wellness may become part of every home.

Highlights:

  • PEMF and microcurrent therapy can rapidly calm the nervous system, helping shift the body out of fight-or-flight and into healing mode by improving vagal tone.
  • The Vibe device has helped users resolve pain, migraines, cramps, and emotional dysregulation, as Ashley shared multiple firsthand stories of quick, measurable relief among friends and family.
  • The PTSD protocol on the Vibe shows remarkable results with a 98% success rate, demonstrated through significant reductions in PCL-5 scores even when users didn’t realize how much they had improved.
  • The Vagu Vibe provides simple yet powerful vagus nerve toning, with one-hour sessions showing significant improvements in stress, sleep, gut function, and heart rate variability.
  • Improving vagus nerve tone supports digestion, sleep, immune health, and emotional stability, and Mark emphasized that science is only beginning to understand the full power of vagal regulation.
  • Many users experience dramatically improved sleep quality, and Mark shared his own data showing deep, restorative cycles after long-term use.
  • Energy-sensitive individuals may feel an initial intensity before calming effects, as Ashley described feeling amped for a few minutes before shifting into grounded clarity and euphoria.
  • The technology works surprisingly well for animals, with horses and dogs showing rapid improvements in relaxation, behavior, and mobility.
  • New innovations are coming, including an HRV-tracking wellness watch and an Alzheimer’s-support device, combining PEMF, light therapy, and analytics to support brain and nervous system health.
  • A magnesium-rich electrolyte formula was created to enhance PEMF effectiveness, since electrolytes improve cellular conductivity and strengthen the signal at the cellular level.

Intro:

There are moments in our healing journey that were pivotal. Looking back, we realize that that was the moment — the decision we made, the actions we took — that led to some of our greatest healing.

I can think back to specific moments in time and know that that's when I decided to make a change, and that’s when the change that took place as a result of my decision led to amazing outcomes, leading to me no longer having diseases.

I know for you, you can think back to times in your life where you heard something or found some piece of information and made changes in your life as a result of that. You maybe didn't know at the time how powerful the results would be — as a result of deciding to pick up that book, or listen to that podcast, or go see that health professional, or talk to a friend and hear something. But you had a moment, and you can look back and go, “That was the moment that things shifted.” As a result of all the actions I took afterwards in that new direction, everything else started to fall into place and healing happened.

This is one of those moments — the concept of being able to understand your vagus nerve and help you regulate it will help you no longer be in a state of stress, panic, anxiety you don't even realize is your norm. It helps you have a new level of joy you didn't even know you weren't living in and that was possible. It helps you have such deep and restorative sleep,  back when you were a baby, and you didn't realize how you've been desperately missing it for years. It helps your digestion regulate so that you don't feel bloated, so that you just feel free and light and amazing.

This is what we have access to when we stimulate our vagus nerve healthfully. For people who've suffered from post-traumatic stress, they have a whole new level of peace that they have been desperately missing for so long.

So today's episode, we dive into using frequency medicine — specifically PEMF, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, and frequency-specific microcurrent — supporting the body's ability to heal itself, supporting the body's ability to regulate the vagus nerve healthfully so that all these healing processes take place, because that's what the vagus nerve does. We go into some really cool stuff.

Before we get into today's episode, I want to let you know about the links, because Mark gives us such an amazing discount. Please go back and listen to my first episode, episode 532, with Mark. At some point, you can listen to this episode standalone and then go back to listen to episode 532.

We dive deeper into what PEMF and FSM are and how we can use them to support our body's ability to heal itself. It has helped me, has freed me — freed me from the chains of the unconscious amygdala-regulated post-traumatic stress that I was living in. Even though I'd done so much work, it was the final thing I needed to click 100% back into healing mode and receive restoration on so many levels in my body.

That's why I'm so excited to bring this to you. What if you're the person who's been crying in their pillow at night, like I was? I remember begging, praying for an answer. What if this is that answer? What if you're hearing it because you are going to share it with a friend or a family member or coworker, and they're secretly praying for a solution?

This information is something we've got to share because it helps so many people. Listen to what Mark says when he talks about the studies and the success rates. It gets me so excited how many people are freed from panic and anxiety, are freed from depression, are freed from post-traumatic stress using the ability to regulate the vagus nerve and using a type of medicine that isn't molecular. It doesn't take a drug, so this definitely threatens big pharma because it is so accessible.

It is, compared to so many things, incredibly affordable, and Mark makes it even more affordable than other brands out there. He also has cutting-edge technology. He’s taken this technology to a whole new level, so I'm excited to share it for you to be able to gain this level of health.

The first link is if you just want to get a Vibe: learntruehealth.com/vibe — that is the device that's wearable, it's simple, and it gives you many different health and wellness programs.

Then, if you want the bundle, which is the Vibe and Vagu Vibe (and Mark talks all about this in the interview), I just want to make sure you have the links: learntruehealth.com/bundle.

If you just want to try the VAGU Vibe, it's learntruehealth.com/vaguvibe — and I will spell that v-a-g-u-v-i-b-e.

The two-pack, if you want to get the two-pack of the Vibe (because we talk about how funny it is that my husband, my son, and I always fight over this one little device that we wear), if you're in a family of three, you really need two so that you're not fighting over it so much. The two-pack, which saves you a lot of money, is learntruehealth.com/pack.

All these links are going to be in the show notes of today's podcast at learntruehealth.com. They're also going to be wherever you listen — whether it's iTunes or Spotify or wherever you listen, the links will also be in the description.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. If you ever want to book a session with me, I give away my time for free if you want to talk to me. I have so many resources, so if you're stuck in your healing journey, go to learntruehealth.com, go up in the menu and select “Work with Ashley James,” and you can sign up for a 20-minute free call. I'd love to chat with you and share with you.

I first want to listen to you, hear what's going on, and then I'll share with you some resources that come to mind when you share with me what's going on. I have so many resources since I've worked with holistic health professionals for so many years and interviewed over 500 and collected amazing tools along the way. Of course, I've worked with clients for 20 years, helping them to transform their lives.

I specialize in ending anxiety. I teach people a tool that turns off anxiety in under 90 seconds, and then I teach tools for rewiring the brain. In fact, I am coming out with a master class, an advanced course for anyone who has anxiety at any level. I've had people say, “Well, but I'm on drugs.” “Listen, I'm not a doctor, I'm not going to tell you when to get off your drugs, but I am going to show you how to rewire your brain, and if you give me 90 seconds, I will teach you how to turn off anxiety.”

Then those people go back to their doctors, they get off of their medications, and they come back to me and say, “I'm now drug free. I thought I'd be on these meds for the rest of my life,” sometimes multiple medications for their anxiety disorders. I teach them tools to rewire the brain and rewire their health so that they're no longer being run by anxiety — and they're free of it.

I'm passionate. I'm passionate about helping you heal on every level — emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically, energetically — every level. I'm here to help you heal.

So if you're stuck in life and you want to take your health to the next level, please reach out. I'd love to talk. Definitely go to my website, learntruehealth.com, scroll all the way to the bottom, and get on the free newsletter, because I give you a third of my book for free so you can get started on your healing journey wherever you are in your healing journey. It'll take you to the next level.

Then, when I come out with my masterclass — because I've been working on it now for the last few months and I'm going to be coming out with it soon — you'll have first dibs. You'll have the first access to it because I'll be letting everyone in the newsletter know about it.

Make sure you go to learntruehealth.com, scroll all the way to the bottom, join the newsletter so you'll be updated on all the news about that, and you can always join the Learn True Health Facebook group where we chat about anything health.

We're here to help — the whole community is, myself included. A lot of my guests join the group as well. My goal is that you see yourself whole, complete, healed. You see that future self where there is no suffering, where there is only health, and you hold that image in your mind and then we remove all the barriers to get there.

This is one of those tools today that you'll hear us talk about that will help you remove the barriers to get there. Enjoy today's interview.

Welcome to the Learn True Health Podcast. I'm your host, Ashley James.

This is episode 557.

Ashley James (0:09:50.876)

I am so excited for today's guest. I'm very excited to have you back on the show, Mark Fox, the creator of the most revolutionized PEMF and frequency-specific microcurrent device. You have more than one device now. It gave me a whole new level of quality of health.

We discussed that back in episode 532. I'm pretty sure I spent the first hour just telling you my testimonial and my family's testimonial, and then all of the people that I had shared your technology with and their incredible experiences. The first hour is just me running down the list because I had kept a list every time I shared this with someone.

It turned off my friend’s debilitating cramps. It turned off several of my other friends’ issues. I would just always have it with me. A friend has a headache or a migraine or back pain, and I’d say, “Here, put this on and put it on the setting.” So quickly they'd be, “My headache's gone! My back pain — oh my gosh, my back pain's gone!” Really interesting results.

For me, and what I'd shared, I won't go into super detail this time, but listeners can go back and listen to episode 532 of the Learn True Health Podcast. I had done a lot of emotional work and spiritual work to heal around the PTSD attacks that I was having and the PTSD and the trauma that I had. But my nervous system, even though I'd done a lot of healing both spiritually, mentally, and emotionally, my physical nervous system was still in that state of PTSD.

I thought I had finished healing. I thought I'd gotten on the other side of it. Then I started using your device and using the PTSD setting. Within three days, I noticed I'm laughing again. I'm smiling again. I'm feeling joy. I'm feeling happiness. I'm feeling at ease. I just was, wow, I was so uncomfortable in my skin before I started using the Vibe. I hadn't realized that until I started using the PTSD setting.

My husband started using the PTSD setting, and he had this huge revelation that he healed trauma from his childhood, and he remembered it. He said, “I have been feeling this level of stress all the time from this physical unresolved trauma,” and it gave him so much freedom. It was so cool.

I joke in episode 532 about how we fight over this device. If you have someone else living in your household, you have to buy more than one of these things because there's a bundle where you can buy more than one. You have to, because you will fight over it.

Our son, who’s ten years old, my husband, and I will be , “Where’s our Vibe?” We’re looking to use it, and it’s on our son. He fell asleep on the sleep setting and he’s sleeping in his bed with it around his neck. It’s just so funny how the three of us always end up wanting to use it, so we had to obviously get more than one.

Listeners can go to learntruehealth.com/vibe to check that out. Then we more recently got your newer device, so listeners can go to learntruehealth.com/bundle to see that one. I want to talk about this one because this one is similar to your original technology — it's on a different level. So it's similar, but different.

I definitely want to get into that. You've got studies. You've got so much cool stuff. I'm really excited to dive into this technology. I feel this should be in every single household. Every single person on the planet should have this.

It's frequency medicine. It's not molecular medicine. It will help you mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically. It will help your body come back into balance with itself. There’s no negative effect. It's not  a medicine where there's a side effect. This is about supporting the body's ability to heal itself and come back into harmony with itself.

I'm constantly amazed at the testimonials I see. I'll be on social media and these videos will pop up of other people talking about how it's helped them. I love that the word is getting out.

So, Mark Fox, I’m so excited to have you back on the show. Welcome.

Mark L. Fox (0:14:23.400)

Well, thank you so much for having me. You’ve covered a lot already up there. My wife kind of joked about when I first started this because it's not a very good business model — it's not consumable like supplements or anything. Nobody's going to buy more than one. You're right, the Two-Pack is one of our better sellers for that exact reason. Family members or friends are going to borrow it, and you're going to say, “Are you kidding?” or whatever.

So yes, we can jump right into the Vagu Vibe if you want, which is the newer device. It’s dependent on where we've been. The Vibe's been doing really well. To remind everyone, it's for people and pets, not just people. Dogs and horses, and somewhat cats — because cats are cats. They'll come lay on it in their bed, but you can't really put one on a cat.

Dogs have a custom bandana and a harness that the Vibe slides into. Horses have a device that looks like a cell phone holder with an elastic strap that goes around their neck for their vagus nerve. We're getting a lot of great results with horses and dogs, as well as people.

PTSD, as you mentioned — the first clinical trial that we went out and did — I think we have the largest PEMF PTSD study in the world. I'm going to keep saying that till somebody shows me they’ve got a bigger one because we have a 98% success rate with it, which is crazy.

“Well, what do you mean 98%?” Well, it's measured by the PLC-5, which is what the Veterans Administration uses for PTSD. Your story with your husband and PTSD is not an unfamiliar story. I even have a friend that used it, and it's good news, bad news. It opened up some bad things that happened to him in his childhood. A priest had molested him, and he had kind of blocked it out of his brain.

Anyway, it's manifested. It’s a weird thing. We're going to talk about this too — your vagus nerve being stressed or not in tone. PTSD can manifest so many other things: stomach aches, gut issues, migraines, sleep problems — a whole bunch of things where maybe your traditional doctor is not going to be able to pinpoint it.

It’s funny you said the word “joy,” Ashley, because the book I just finished last week writing is called Go Find Joy. It’s all around PTSD and trauma and lack of joy, and how these devices and this technology can get you back to where you need to be.

The Vagu Vibe is a pendant. It is PEMF — the same as the Vibe — but it’s specifically only one protocol, and that protocol is for the vagus nerve.

For people that aren't familiar with your vagus nerve, it's a fascinating thing in your body. Dogs and horses have it as well. It's called the 10th cranial nerve. It goes from your brain down both sides of your neck, and then it clusters around your heart. Then it goes to all of your organs.

It's really fascinating. We're learning — the industry is learning more and more about it every day. If you get the vagus nerve toned correctly, it can do all kinds of magic: mainly relax your fight-or-flight system, get you in balance, promote relaxation, improve gut issues, support the immune system, increase ATP, speed up workout recovery, and improve sleep — all kinds of different things it does when you get it toned correctly.

We’ve completed a third-party independent study with the Vagu Vibe that showed significant results in all those areas. The cool part is that it all came from one one-hour session. We don't even have the data yet for people using it longer term.

One one-hour session — 100% of the people improved, some more than others.

The good news, bad news is I wrote three different protocols around the vagus nerve, and they all worked. But they all worked a little differently — category A protocol one was better than category B, and so on. It was a hard choice to figure out which one to actually pick because the whole idea of that product was to make it ridiculously simple to use. You turn it on, and that's it. Nothing to select.

The Vibe is as simple as I thought I could make it. It's alphabetical, has 60 protocols on it, and you hit play, put it in your pocket. The Vagu Vibe is just a piece of jewelry that you turn on and wear.

Now, when people see the picture — and a few customers made this comment — “That big old brick!” I wanted to make it smaller than it actually is, but it only weighs less than an ounce.

Ashley James (0:19:27.771)

Yes, I don't even feel I'm wearing it right now. Don't even feel it. yes.

It's super light.

Mark L. Fox (0:19:32.847)

Yes, it looks kind of heavy, but it's not.

A lot of engineering went in to make that super, super light. Yes, you asked me some more about the Vagu Vibe, but the small thing that not a lot of people care—well, I shouldn't say that—is on the Vibe, the coils are at the back. You want them against your body. If it flips over, it's still going to work; it's just not as effective because the energy source is a little further from the body.

Some people, that's why a lot of people, when they're wearing the lanyard, just tuck it inside their shirt so it can't flip over.

I designed the Vagu Vibe so that you can turn it any way you want to, and you can go test that with your magnetic field tester. It doesn't matter how it's laying on your body; it's putting out the same energy in all directions. That was the idea with that—to make something a little more cool,  a piece of jewelry that was super simple to use, that you just simply turn on and wear like  jewelry.

Ashley James (0:20:25.723)

So I was excited to try it. We got it two months ago, somewhere around there. I've only had the ability to wear it about maybe four or five times because I cannot get it from—again, this is the have-to-get-more-than-one situation. My husband, who is not a greedy person, he is a very generous, shirt-off-his-back kind of guy, would not let me have it.

This just shows you how much it was helping him. He literally—his new uniform in life is—you will always see him with this lanyard around. It's either in the charger or on his neck. He doesn't wear it at night. He just prefers the results he gets when he wears it during the day, which is great.

But here's what we noticed. I said to him, “Okay, I think it’s just two or three days ago. My interview's coming up. What have you noticed?” He did the typical man thing. He goes, “I don't notice anything.” I looked at him and said, “You won't even give it to me.” I call BS.

If something doesn't work for him, it's not on him the next day. If a supplement doesn't work, if he doesn't get a result, he's not doing it the next day. He’s been sixty days in a row wearing this thing, not giving it to me. We would not share it. I had to fight him for it. I actually had to sneak up when it was in the charger and be like, “Okay, it's not charging. I'm going to take it.”

We had to think back over the last two months and where he's been at in his life in terms of his nervous system. He's been in a season of his life where he's been under more stress, under more pressure. He’s been internalizing that. He would wake up in the middle of the night worrying. That had become pretty consistent. He didn't want to bother me, so he'd tell me in the morning. He’d say, “I've been up since four thinking,” and I’d say, “Wake me up. I don't want you to be suffering for three or four hours.”

He was thinking about his mom, us, homeschooling—everything, just life—and he's the man of the house, so all that pressure’s on him. Now since using the Vagu Vibe—since using it, it went from every night waking up unable to go back to sleep with racing thoughts to, I think, happening once in the last two weeks.

He didn't go to a dark place, but he noticed that when he did start to worry, he was able to turn it around. I talked to him and said, “Don’t keep thinking about it going poorly. Start thinking about what you do want to have happen and how it looks. What does it look like in your mind when it works out? Use your focus—focus on what you want.”

Before the Vagu Vibe, that was really hard for him to do. After starting to use it, he could catch himself and be like, “Okay, no—imagine it working out. Everything’s good. We're working towards it.” He could steer his thoughts back into a positive state. Then it stopped happening all the time.

I've also noticed that he's way calmer with our son. We homeschool our kid, who’s incredibly brilliant and also intense. He's intense to be around—he’s just constantly talking—which is great. I came down this morning and he gave me an entire TED Talk on the latest thing he had learned—which is wonderful. He’s an incredible learner. He’s always learning But he’s also really intense about it. Sometimes I just want to be quiet for a few minutes, and I don’t get that. We don’t get that with him.

So it was interesting to watch. I was watching his nervous system a few months ago, and for the last ten years having our son, he would go into overwhelm. Most of the time, it’s great as parents because we don’t go into overwhelm at the same time, so at least one of us can bring the other one down or be the parent that isn’t living in our reptilian amygdala brain. One of us has a handle on things. We kind of take turns saying, “Okay, we need to be calm.”

I watched him really getting into overwhelm pretty quickly—just sensory overwhelm. It’s a lot of talking, a lot going on, and he’d need to calm down. Now he doesn’t go into that overwhelm super fast. He’s calmer. He’s just more out of his shell.

My husband, who’s very introverted, is now more social—attending church events, even the men’s event—on his own. He just chose to go on his own. In the past, that would have terrified him. Introverts don’t like that. He went and had fun, made the guys laugh, and was just himself, more comfortable in his own skin.

It was hard for him to say exactly, to pinpoint better sleep or better mental clarity. He couldn’t give me a specific, but when we looked at the snapshot of his life since using it, the restraints are off. He’s more balanced. His nervous system is more in check, more in balance, not hairpin-triggered to go into overwhelm. He’s just able to be himself.

Mark L. Fox (0:26:36.446)

That's actually pretty common, just the way you described it. For one, I would go back to having run it an hour before bed. Don't take it to bed. I would try it that way and get better results.

How do you know if it's working? Well, several different ways. One is your very subjective personal test. Do surveys before and after. What's really interesting about that is people forget how bad they felt 30 days ago. It's just the most common thing. So you keep a diary or take the actual time.

I actually have so many Zoom recordings that I can’t have respect for the people—they asked me not to use them as testimonials. People come on very typical. They go, “Hey, it might’ve helped a little bit. I’m just not sure.” I say, “You reported a 72 out of 80, 30 days ago—80 being the highest you get for stress and PTSD and trauma. You just reported a 12.” And they start crying. They just start crying on the camera, and now they're too embarrassed, and they forgot how bad they felt. So they say, “Don't use that, Mark.”

So I don’t. I wish I could use all those because they’re tons of testimonials like that. So that's number one—go measure it subjectively.

Objectively, if you have a wearable, which is a nice lead-in—you asked me what new products are coming out. We have our own wellness watch that's coming out next week. Excuse me, next month. They shipped yesterday. So as soon as we get them, we'll have a new wellness one where we can measure biomarkers.

Now it's really cool. It's going to be called Kario Watch. It's going to be cool from the standpoint that it's measuring sleep, it's measuring all the fitness stuff—steps, calories burned, all that stuff. But it's also measuring heart rate variability as a separate measurement, which is probably the best thing to measure for overall health as a biomarker.

What's really cool is it's measuring blood pressure and blood sugar and stress levels. So it’s doing that without having to use your finger and without having to put a cuff on your arm.

Now, if the customer chooses to participate, we'll be able to upload it to the cloud and de-identify their name, strip it out. We're using HIPAA-compliant Amazon web servers, all that stuff. It's what we're going to use. We're building it now.

But what’ll be really cool is—you asked me at the beginning before you started the call—what's changed in 12 months? I'm using AI about a thousand times more than I was. That's one of them. One of them is going to be just using multiple AI tools in the cloud to look at their before and after stuff, look at their data, and make recommendations and those types of things. So that’s pretty exciting.

The third way to measure this stuff is what I was thinking when you were describing your husband and kid—ask your parents, spouse, and friends, “Am I any different?” It's the best litmus test in the world. We've had customers say this: “Steve hasn't invited me over for barbecue for three years, and now he invited us twice in a month. What's going on?” Well, you're not being a jerk anymore. We don't mind having you over.

We get people all the time saying, “We were going to get divorced—now we're not.” Or “Your kids want to play with you now, and they didn’t before.” I won’t say his name, but a family member hadn’t talked to his 16-year-old daughter in six months, and now he’s spending an hour every night with her.

We have another customer who said, “This taught me to turn my phone off driving my kid to school, so I got 20 minutes of alone time with my kid to talk about anything.” We get tons and tons of feedback like that. That's really special.

Ashley James (0:30:32.912)

I love it. I love it. So I'll share my experience with it because I'm wearing it now. I have worn it five or six times to get an experience. I feel it when it turns off, which is really neat because I definitely feel it the entire time. When it's off, it's like a light switch. I can feel it.

I'm more in tune or sensitive, but I'm going to say this—the first five to ten minutes of wearing it, I feel, and I don't want to use the word anxiety, but I feel more on edge, more kind of ramped up, more jaw-clenchy. Then that’ll melt away, and I feel almost high—just euphoric, happy, calm, centered, grounded, total mental clarity, totally in the now, in my body, and with a clear head space.

But every time I wear it, I have to kind of push through this interesting experience. I just sit with it, just observing it, not judging it. I'm thinking, that's interesting. Then it becomes better, but there's something at the beginning that's uncomfortable.

If I was busy, I probably wouldn't even be noticing it, but because I'm sitting with it, feeling it—what is that? Does everyone experience that? My husband doesn’t. He just loves this thing. But what is that?

Mark L. Fox (0:32:11.254)

Well, let me ask you a question. You don't have to answer it. Do you see colors around other people, auras and stuff?

Ashley James (0:32:17.530)

I have. I don't do it on a regular basis, but if I'm just sitting in church, for example, I'm just kind of—I don't want to say zoning out—but if I'm just super chill, then all of a sudden I start to see energy fields around people.

Mark L. Fox (0:32:34.806)

Yes, okay. Well, I knew the answer. The way you just described it, it's probably that you're in the superwoman category. It's probably less than half a percent of the people who are energy sensitive.

100% of the time I've asked that question, somebody said, yes, I see colors as you just did, or sometimes I do. So I think they're energy sensitive.

Here’s my avatar in the horse world—is a 52-year-old cowgirl. I got bets with all of them. It’s that this little 2.4-ounce device can’t do crap for a thousand-pound animal. I go, you want to bet? Because they’re more energy sensitive than we are. They’re—no—and then they see what it does on the horses.

Not on the Vagu Vibe, because it just has the one vagus nerve toning protocol on the vibe—but what we’re telling people with anxiety is there are four different protocols. There’s a small percentage of people on the anxiety one that can make them feel more anxious.

Ashley James (0:33:37.618)

Yes, the anxiety. Yes, exactly. On the Vibe, I do not do the anxiety protocol. It actually, for me, induces anxiety. But the moment I switch it, it turns off right away. There are no side effects, no lasting results.

When I do the PTSD one, I feel like I'm in heaven. I feel like I'm elated. I feel so good. But it's so funny you say that. I do have that experience with the anxiety protocol on the Vibe.

Mark L. Fox (0:34:02.494)

Yes, a very small percentage of people do. So that's why we're recommending on the Vibe for anxiety, we have four protocols. We're calling it the Power of Four. You have Anxiety, you have Relax and Balance, you have Vagus Nerve Toning, and then you have PTSD.

So we're telling people that what we've learned works best on the Vibe is to try all four of those. The reason I came up with that was for the conversation we're having right now—the small percentage of people where anxiety, for whatever reason, I’ll probably never know. Is it because it was a brand-new device? Something they’ve never tried before? They already have severe anxiety? The unknown?

I wrote a whole chapter on anxiety and the unknown and church and a whole bunch of things. Is that what causes a bunch of… Anyway, we don’t know. There are so many mysteries there. But what we’re finding is most people can find a combination of those four.

You’re the first person on Vagu Vibe to tell me that starting off, it has kind of a negative effect, but it might on some other people. I just haven’t had that feedback. For all your listeners—any of these things—if it makes you feel bad, stop, call us, email us. Maybe we can help you.

The device, if you use it three to four times a week—and your husband doesn’t have to do it every day, he can use it every other day—is probably going to get almost the same effect, I think. But if you don’t see a result in 30 days, it’s not going to work for you, or you have the wrong protocol or diagnosis.

I’ve done it to myself. I’ve never had sciatica in my life, and I was positive I had it from every symptom. It didn’t help at all with the sciatica protocol. Then I thought about it, and I’d forgotten that I’d kicked a soccer ball or beach ball back up. I kicked it three times. Two times I kicked it back up to the towel because the family was out in the ocean and they weren’t paying attention. Their ball was going to wash away.

It rolled back to my feet, so I’m like, am I committed to this stupid ball or not? So I kicked as hard as I could, and it went flying over the towels. Then my foot was kind of numb on the way home. So I pulled muscles and tendons. I didn’t have sciatica—it wasn’t directly nerve. When I ran the other protocols, it seemed to go away.

Ashley James (0:36:15.985)

What protocols did you run?

Mark L. Fox (0:36:17.272)

I got to look at it in the brainwave expansion ones, but it’s for ligaments and muscles.

Ashley James (0:36:22.154)

OK, got it. Got excited. Been a general inflammation.

Mark L. Fox (0:36:27.160)

I ran that one too, but then I ran whichever one it was. It was a brainwave. Did I ever tell you how I remember the five brainwaves and what level, what order?

I can't ever remember which one's lowest and highest, so I started from the lowest. So I came up with this phrase: “Do The Atheists Believe in God?”

It's a phrase. I guess it's not an acronym. So D is Delta. So that's the lowest. The, Theta. Atheist, Alpha, Believe, Beta, God, Gamma. So, “Do the atheists believe in God?” From the lowest to highest is how I'm remembering it myself. But I'm trying to remember, I think it was Theta or Alpha that I was running, whatever's in the expansion list.

Ashley James (0:37:12.789)

My gosh, that's great. So Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, Gamma. That goes from lowest to highest hertz or frequency?

Mark L. Fox (0:37:23.065)

Yes, Hertz, yes. So Delta is going to be one to four Hertz, Gamma is going to be 30 to 40.

Ashley James (0:37:27.141)

Very cool. For those listening who have the Vibe, they know that there's a list that they can access.

Mark L. Fox (0:37:37.471)

Yes, we're calling them brainwave expansion protocols. So on the Vibe, there's 60 protocols. Five of them are what we just said, the five brainwaves, Delta, Theta, Alpha, Gamma. Those five, from other studies and research, can be used for 70 other things. So those five protocols can be repurposed.

This is kind of funny because I got this list online a few years ago. I tried to contact the doctor on it. You can't get a hold of this guy. I talked to a couple other doctors in this field and they're like, yes, here's a weird thing that we do. On the side, we're doing this kind of research and we're posting things, but we don't really want people to know we did it because we're in mainstream MD still. It's kind of a weird thing. I'd love to go interview the guy and ask, where in detail do these come from? I don't have that pedigree history, but they work well. So that's why we're using them.

Ashley James (0:38:39.338)

Very cool. You can look up if you have an issue. I have a tendonitis, then you can look up and see which of the brainwave hertz programs that you'd be using on the Vibe to support that. So neat that it affects different tissues depending on which one we do.

I encourage listeners to go back and listen to episode 532 because we cover the science more as to why this works and how it works and how neat that is. But I definitely want to cover more of what you've done in the last year. You said we've got great results with dogs and horses and people in the last year. Can you elaborate on what that means? Have you done horse studies or are you getting lots of testimonials back? Can you share that?

Mark L. Fox (0:39:34.350)

If I was devious, I would create a protocol that makes a horse lick, because all the horse owners, if he's licking, that means he's happy, and make his ears point a certain way. So it's things, that's all anecdotal stuff on the horses. But last week, we had three lame horses in a rescue, and they ran protocols on them, and they're running in a field now. So we get all that kind of feedback constantly, anecdotally.

Part of the problem is, unfortunately, horse rescue people have figured out that Mark donates some of these for free. So I got every horse rescue in the world, nonprofit, trying to put me out of business, sending me devices.

But that kind of stuff, what's cool, the watch that we're coming up with, the way it's measuring blood pressure, blood sugar, heart rate variability, it's doing it through light sensors on your skin. Yes, this is on my list of things to invent. My wife's like, focus, don't go there, invent one of these for a horse and a dog. The problem is they’ve got fur. So you can't see through the fur without shaving them, and I don't want anyone shaving a horse and dog to be able to measure health stuff. So I got to get super creative. Do I do it with sound?

So maybe the way they're breathing, those kinds of things, you can write algorithms to infer. Anyway, to answer your question, the dog-horse thing, it's all mostly anecdotal. We have a new dog refurb center in Myrtle Beach, California, that has dove into this stuff. They just emailed me yesterday. He goes, we're getting good enough results, Mark, that I'm using it on every single patient, every dog that comes through the center, one way or the other.

Yes, that kind of thing, trying to measure biomarkers. I'm trying to be as non-invasive as I can. I don't want to stick them for blood and stuff. Here's a lesson learned. I did a huge study on dogs and cortisol with PTSD. So it's the largest no-kill dog rescue in the United States here in Florida. They have 850 dogs.

I didn't do my homework; I was a dumbass. I found out after the study that cortisol doesn't correlate to stress. Not in somebody that has PTSD. Yes. So the average—not normal—a person without PTSD, stress will correlate with cortisol. Cortisol goes up, stress goes up, vice versa. In people and dogs with PTSD, their cortisol is already low for whatever reason.

Ashley James (0:42:16.492)

Yes, they're probably in adrenal burnout, because they've been in cortisol so high from the trauma. Now they're just in exhaustion.

Mark L. Fox (0:42:23.720)

I was talking to a doctor yesterday about that, and it's her whole expertise. It feels like you're asking your cells to do something. They do all they can. It's actually not cortisol. It's adrenaline, which is the evil thing because adrenaline is good, but it's bad if you have too much of it. Your cells will finally shut down and go, I can't do what you asked me to do. So they do what you said they do.

That's a whole other rabbit hole we could go down in the science behind that. Many people know more than I do about it. So yes, I learned the hard way.

For PTSD, the best thing to possibly measure is heart rate variability and measure the correct one. There's a short-term one and a long-term one: SDNN and RSMMD, I think, are the acronyms for that.

Anyway, did I get too technical there? But that's pretty exciting. Here's what I said to the doctor who did the third-party study—we had, on the first round, a 55% increase in heart rate variability. You want your heart rate to come down, you want your heart rate variability to go up for health.

So, I think it was 54–55% after the one-hour session on average, the heart rate variability increased. Well, that's kind of a bummer. I was hoping for 100–150%. He goes, you're an idiot, Mark. He goes, professional athletes will pay a million dollars for it to go up 10%. Professional athletes—NFL players, basketball.

I was, oh, so 50 is pretty good. He goes, yes, I've never done a study ever where it went up that much in an hour. So that's pretty cool. I said, that was after one hour session. We don't even have the data yet for somebody that uses it three times a week for a month. We're getting that data.

Ashley James (0:44:09.281)

I'm wondering how long does that last? You know what I mean? Is it just during the use and then it immediately goes back to the old way, or does it last for a few days? That's super neat.

Mark L. Fox (0:44:21.417)

We don't know the answer long term to that, but you don't need to use it every day. We know three to four times a week is plenty for most people. Where that's coming from is from the clinical environment. You can't go to the doctor's office three times a day. You're going to go once a week or twice a week at the most. So that's where it’s proven to show that it worked originally before I made an affordable version of it.

There are no 10-year long-term studies that I know of, but as far as we know, there are no adverse side effects. We tell people, if you have a pacemaker, insulin pump, something with electronics, or you're pregnant, don't use it. Now, metal implants, hip replacements, knees, and all—that's fine. I would love to officially say you could use it with a pacemaker, but I can't say that.

I'll just tell this story. This is eight or nine gauss. The Vagu Vibe might be 12, that's around 12. The VI is about nine. It's actually a pendant, a little bit stronger, just a little more concentrated. But that's the level of magnetic field energy. An MRI is 50,000 gauss. This is 10. So for years and years, if you had a pacemaker, you could not have an MRI. Finally, a couple of doctors got smart and went, you're going to die anyway if we can't see inside of you. So, you want to take the chance?

One person, Ashley, to my knowledge, has died from an MRI. We do a million of them a year. The person that died had nothing to do with a pacemaker. An oxygen tank flew across the room and hit her. So it wasn’t even anything like that.

But the official answer is don't use a pacemaker and all that stuff. The only side effects that we’ve seen are that, and this is pretty typical, if somebody calls and says, “Hey, it’s making me tired. Should it make me tired?” I’ll ask, “How many times a day are you using it?” I know the answer is going to be 10 or more. So I just say, calm down. Your body needs time to take the energy in and do something with it.

Ashley James (0:46:27.353)

Yes, yes, so that's it.

I have one listener who said, am exhausted now that I started using the vibe, and I remembered talking to you about this. I said, okay, how many programs a day are you running? She’s, oh, four, between four and six programs. Each program lasts 30 to 90 minutes depending on the program. So she's wearing it all day. I’m like all right, that's too much. You're overdoing it. She’s, okay, great, thanks.

Then I think she got back to me or I got back to her and everything was good. She’s like, yes, I'm just not using it as much. I feel awesome because she was, yes, all the problems I'm using it for, went away. But now I'm tired. I'm, well, you’re overdoing it.

So I don't get that. Some people get it. I don't get it. I can use it all day long and not get tired. I just get more chill, more happy.

Mark L. Fox (0:47:22.294)

Yes, it's not everyone, but that's usually the case. The record I have so far that I know of, and our team is growing so fast that I don't answer the phones and email by myself anymore. I answer some of them, but I don't know everything.

The record, to my knowledge, for how many protocols you are running a day was 28. I go, yes. Well, she goes, what do I do? I’ve got 28 things wrong with me. I go, which one is bothering you the most? OK, start with that one.

Cascading, it may be causing all those other issues. I tell people this, and everyone in the health world should know this. If you get a lot of sleep, and this can help improve your sleep 30 to 40%, it might fix a whole bunch of stuff on your list.

Ashley James (0:48:04.970)

Yes. How much gets better when you get adequate sleep? It's amazing how many of your side effects and symptoms are as a result of disrupted sleep.

Mark L. Fox (0:48:17.046)

This is going to make a ton of your listeners angry, but I'm just going to say it anyway. I'm just looking at my sleep last night. Eight hours and 21 minutes, and that's very low for me. It's usually nine and a half.

Ashley James (0:48:31.382)

It's deep though. Your cycles? Do you see how deep you go? That’s important.

Mark L. Fox (0:48:41.724)

I'll read it to you right here. This is deep sleep was two hours and 43 minutes. Light sleep four hours and 13. REM an hour and 30 minutes.

Ashley James (0:48:50.200)

There you go. That's great.

Mark L. Fox (0:48:52.676)

Awake, awake for six minutes. That's to go pee.

Ashley James (0:48:55.612)

That's awesome. That is so great. Yes, I've had clients who are getting seven, seven and a half hours, but most of it is light sleep and they're very, very little in the deep. I'm like, man, you could rock seven and a half hours if you were in the deep and restorative sleep way more.

Mark L. Fox (0:49:18.424)

This says I went into REM seven times last night in a cycle.

Ashley James (0:49:23.160)

That's seven cycles. It's awesome. I judge my sleep based on cycles and I'll be like, if I wake up in the middle of, it's 4 a.m., and I count how many cycles I'm going to have, because they're approximately 90 minutes from start to finish. So I think, all right, I'm going to get three cycles before my alarm goes off, or I'm going to, before I'm going to wake up, and I feel good about that. So yes, I like that. Seven cycles is great. Yes, it's approximately 90 minutes from start to finish per cycle, depending on the person.

But yes, going deep, sleep is all about getting that deep restorative sleep and then just removing anything from your life that's preventing you from having that. That's why I love, love, love your technology, because you don't have to remember a pill, you don't have to put something in your mouth or do a routine. You just have to remember to plug it in. You have to remember to charge it. Then you just have to press a button and have it around your neck. Press a button and that's it. That's it. Or put it in your pocket. That's it. You're getting this benefit for days from something that's so simple and that you can do with your child or your animal.

My son loves the vibe. That's part of his routine. He'll brush his teeth. He does all the bedtime routine stuff, grabs the vibe. We don't even have to tell him. He wants it. He wants the sleep program as he's reading his book or sometimes listens to podcasts, and they're educational podcasts. There's Dinosaur George, if you have a 10 year old, he's a paleontologist and he tells stories and teaches. So my son goes to bed listening to educational stuff, and then I look at him. He's asleep and it's been 20 minutes and the vibe is still on him and he's asleep. Then I'll go get it off of him because we want to use it, but it's great.

So, okay. So the horse owners are seeing clearly it's making a difference. The no-kill shelter, besides the cortisol levels, was there reports of the animals more comfortable or you could definitely tell in their behavior what was reported when they used, and they weren't using the vibe, or were they? They were using the Vagu Vibe? Okay.

Mark L. Fox (0:51:53.912)

They were using the Vibe. The answer to that is a good question. The answer is yes, saw improvement, but it was reported besides the cortisol on the mountain. It was reported by volunteers, the handlers and stuff. Who knows, it wasn't a super structured system where I'm paying people, whatever. It was me trying to run things, driving down there, and I don't remember.

We were actually infusing into water and doing a bunch of things, and there wasn't statistically significant, which I'm careful with, so I just didn't publish it. I haven't published anything. I didn't write an article on it because we've talked about, I think, in the last episode, the amount of Facebook haters I have is off the charts. I had to hide.

So what's happened in the last 12 months, I hired somebody 10 months ago to do Facebook comments for me just so I don't have to lose my mind every Friday. I used to have to go get up and up energy on Friday to go comment to all these people, but I have a lady named Doris who's in Panama, who's the sweetest lady in the world. She answers all of them— and they're all men, by the way. All, 99.9% of the Facebook haters are men, at least for my guys. They're all. I don't want to go negative there.

We don't have that study there. We do have heart rate variability with the Vagu Vibe. We have a blood sugar study, if it ever finishes it. The answer is the data looks great. They look great. We'll give it to me so I can actually use it.

Another product, just to jump to it real fast because you're going to go, what, when I say this. We're going to have a quadruple peptide frequency infused anti-wrinkle system.

Ashley James (0:53:31.401)

What? No wonder your wife is, focus, focus. You're like, I have all these things I want to invent.

Mark L. Fox (0:53:38.807)

So on the Vibe, you can infuse the protocols into water or cream, and I've never marketed the cream, but we sell a lot of it. I just filed a patent for a new cream that has four different peptides in it for wrinkles. You're going to infuse the anti-aging once a week, roughly. It lasts 30 days. But I know women, when they get it, they'll probably charge it every night just because it's sitting there on the counter. It's easy to do, but they only have to do it once a week.

So I have a dermatologist who's got about 50 of these devices. He's a wholesaler. I said, okay, so I need to do a study with you and show Cindy Crawford's fake. Everyone knows she's Photoshopping all those before and after pictures or they're using different camera lighting. I said, how do I measure that it actually changed the person's skin? He goes, use a such and such. I go, what is that? His look was kind of like, all right, you dumb rocket scientist. It's a mini biopsy on the face.

I go, does it leave a marker scar? He goes, no, you can't really see it. He goes, go give me enough of these Vibes. I'll recruit everyone. We'll go do a study. I go, what are we going to measure? He said collagen and 10 other things. I knew what collagen was; the other 10, I couldn't write fast enough. But they're all things that he's going to go measure at the cellular biological level. Did it do something to the skin to make it more elastic? So that's a study we're going to go do.

Then the other study, and if any of your listeners, I have a meeting actually in 30 minutes with the potential, but this is where the SUVs will show up at the front door, so I'll just get ready for it. It's called Blue Vibe and it's for Alzheimer's.

You can't see it because we're not on a thing, but you're going to wear it like a watch on the inside of your wrist and also on the back of your neck with a cool little holder that we have. Those are the two meridians on your body that we believe are going to be the best way to put the energy in there. So it's a dual PMF and LED blue light system. It's based on MIT.

Listeners don't know this: MIT discovered 40 hertz light flickering will reverse Alzheimer's in rats, and they found it by accident. They're doing human trials right now. There are a couple of products already out, but I have to go prove this one works with blood work and reputable labs and those types of things before I even try to market it. But it's kind of exciting because they ship next week, so I'll have 250 of them to go run tests and stuff on.

But that's exciting too. I keep telling my wife, if that data comes back the way I'm hoping, praying it does, that might be my legacy: creating a little wearable thing for Al's.

Ashley James (0:56:34.683)

My God, Mark, I am beyond excited. I had no idea. I was excited to have you on the show. I'm so excited about the Vibe. I think I said every single person, every single household in the world should have a Vibe. Just as you have a medicine cabinet, what's in your medicine cabinet? Well, we've got something in case somebody has a headache, in case someone has a sore throat. For me, it's all holistic stuff. I've got over 300 homeopathic remedies.

A little in those little vials. I've got at least 60 herbs in different tinctures and capsules just in case, if you wake up feeling you've got some kind of cold or flu, I've got medicinal manuka honey, which I've used several times to help the body get rid of a skin infection in myself and in family members. So I don't have to run to pharmaceuticals.

I have interventions in my home, and I know a lot of listeners are like that. Your medicine cabinet is filled with things that are holistic, that are supportive. Maybe you've got aloe for sunburns and you've got Tylenol. Maybe you do have some pharmaceuticals. But we have things for long-term health. Maybe everyone takes some kind of supplement. I take a multivitamin, I take a multi-mineral. You take something, or you take some kind of amino acid complex in the morning. Most people listen and take something. Or I take vitamin D. Most people take something for long-term health, for prevention.

Then in your home, you've got some stuff for when stuff hits the fan. Your kid wakes up with the stuffy nose. What do you have for them? Do you have a neti pot? So we have some preventive stuff. Maybe there's people out there who only have pharmaceuticals that are really good. That's in your medicine cabinet.

But you have a medicine cabinet for these times. You should have a Vibe. You should use the Vibe because you're going to get daily, weekly, monthly benefits from it. But you should have it because when you run into something, when you run into an acute situation, it could be the first thing you go to that's immediately helping your body to support itself, to come back into balance, to support the health, healing structure, and function of the body. So it's helping you in that way without ever having to put something molecular in your mouth. Your body immediately helps.

On top of that, I tend to hit things pretty hard. If I wake up with a sore throat, there are 10 things I'm doing. I'm gargling with salt water, and then I'm doing a neti pot, and then I'm doing my nano silver, and I'm going to eat raw garlic. Then I'm blowing that sore throat out in 10 minutes. You don't even know that. I'm not letting that manifest. I'm putting my Vibe on. I don't have time for that. But we've got this holistic stuff. I think every single household on this planet would benefit from having a Vibe.

Then you say we can infuse water by putting the Vibe against the machine, the little machine. It's the size of a small cell phone. I think you said iPod. It's the size of a small iPod. You put it up against because it's pumping out a frequency, a beautiful healing frequency, and you can infuse water with it or you can infuse cream with it. I did that experiment with water, my friend and I, and then we did the taste test, and absolutely, we could feel a difference in the water, which I thought was really neat.

But I just love wearing it. I just put it on. Let it vibrate the water in my body. But it's neat that we can also do that, infuse water for our pets and that kind of thing.

I should do that again because we have fully aquatic frogs, they're African dwarf frogs. They're the pets we have, my son has. I should totally do that again, just put the Vibe up against the tank and just infuse the whole tank with something good for them. They're pretty healthy as it is, but I love that. So this is your flagship. I am just such a fan. Then now what I'm seeing is you're bringing frequency medicine into the forefront, and the Vibe was just the beginning. I'm so excited for what you're doing. This is awesome.

Mark L. Fox (1:01:02.458)

The beginning was called a Pulsar XO. That was a Bluetooth version. Bluetooth drove everyone crazy because they're MP3 files. The Vibe is actually a music player without a speaker, but because they're MP3 files and it was Bluetooth to the device, whenever your phone rang, it disconnected the device. I had to finally end up killing the product, but that was the first one. I built it out of a Bluetooth speaker because I didn't have any money to pay for mold tooling and do everything with the Vibe without proving this magic worked.

So we made a couple thousand of the Pulsar XOs. I still have people that have that and they're, where's the protocols? I'm like, please don't use that product anymore. Move on to the next one. It's just much more easy to use because it has a screen and all that type of thing.

Ashley James (1:01:55.994)

Well, you said that you're always improving. You're always taking it to the next level and you take feedback from the customers and then you improve. So the Vibe, which I rave about, and again, go back and listen to 532, cause we rave about it more. Now you've got a few more things. So is there anything else you want to say about the Vagu Vibe that we haven't covered?

Mark L. Fox (1:02:25.670)

Just go do their own research on the vagus nerve and what magic it can do by getting it toned correctly. I mean, a lot of people, it's your fight or flight, it's your gas pedal and you have a brake, and a lot of people run through life with their foot floored on both of them. The gas and the brake. This is just doing some real magic. I think the whole industry have just barely scratched the surface on what the vagus nerve actually does. Just finding more and more stuff.

I got another doctor who's running tests saying, hey, all these gut issues that we can't fix, it looks like it's really helping with that. Now that I'm looking at Vagu, I will say this. I actually forgot, Ashley, because there's another one of those doctors. This guy's a customer, so hopefully this will happen. But I had three different people in the same week tell me the Vagu Vibe is crushing it for my AFib. I go, what do you mean? They go, my Apple Watch, and they send me graphs. My AFib's at 96%, and now it's at 2%. I don't even know how to measure that. I didn't know Apple Watch had that.

So I'm going to the doctors. One cardiologist, we need to do this study with the Vagu Vibe and AFib. He's, well, we kind of have solutions for AFib. Let's do POTS. I'm like, okay, maybe.

Ashley James (1:03:58.373)

They don't have solutions. Don't listen to him. They do not have solutions. They have cut, burn, and poison. They do not have solutions. So I've looked into AFib. So my husband, who has had it, this has been such a cool experience to learn from.

My husband single-handedly packed our Vegas house back when we lived in Vegas, packed it into a 26-foot Penn Ski. Drove the truck. I drove our pickup truck, I had to learn stick for that. I had three days to learn stick. It was great. I feel confident. I took three days to learn stick and then I drove for three days to Seattle from Vagus and I haven't driven stick since, but I feel confident that I could jump into a car and drive stick.

So I was driving the pickup truck. He drove the Penske, and then we got home, we got to our new place, and he then almost single-handedly unpacked, so he carried everything on his shoulders and then woke up a few days later with blue lips saying it's hard to breathe and his heart sounded like an entire band was inside his chest. It was scary, so we go to the ER, and the drugs, all the drugs they try to give, the beta blockers do not touch it. They’re, we have to be cardiovert. So they cardiovert him.

I would not leave the room. I'm, nope. You can't make me. I watched the entire thing. So I was, I am his advocate. I'm not leaving the room. You have to force me to be dragged out. They're, okay, fine, just stay in the corner. His entire body, six foot seven, his entire body lifted off of the table when they shocked him, when they cardioverted him. Then he was fine. The cardiologist said, okay, well, you had a holiday heart, it's because of the stress of the holidays. He had never had it before. That was 2010, the end of 2010.

Then the next time he had it was when he had a kid on his shoulders all day long. It was one of our friend's kids. She was about six, seven years old. She was jumping on his shoulders as we were going for a walk. Wakes up that night in AFib. We were able to not have to go to the doctor because we called up our friend who's a naturopath and then we went to a chiropractor and then we figured out, and this is what's really neat, the naturopath said, hey, it’s so interesting that every time that the first two times you've had it, the only two times you had it, has been pressure on your spine. What's going on? There's a nerve that comes around the thoracic spine and innervates the heart. What if that's being compressed? So he went to the chiropractor. The chiropractor is, yes, that part is out and we're going to adjust that. Three days later, he was no longer in AFib.

Third time he had it was a few years later. We were doing weightlifting, pretty intense. He had lifted, he snatched the heaviest weight he had ever done, woke up the next day in AFib, he was able to get rid of it naturally again. But that's when we figured out it was a compression on his spine.

So I started looking into it. If someone has chronic AFib it can be significantly lessened by making sure you have enough magnesium, making sure you're at the right body weight. There was a study, I think out of Australia, that men who lost 20 pounds had something like 70% less. These are loose numbers. I don't remember the exact amount, but it was so statistically significant that, dude, lose 20 pounds. Don't just go do the cut, burn, and poison method.

That is so, so important. So a healthier weight. It wasn't even getting to the correct body weight. It was just getting 20 pounds shed that showed this much improvement. Keeping blood pressure, sorry, in healthy ranges, doing natural things by looking at what's increasing my blood pressure and what can I do to decrease it. Hydration, walking, proper sleep, don't drink coffee or really limit the amount of coffee. Cut out alcohol 100%.

I've had several cardiologists say that they can see if you drink one alcoholic beverage yesterday, they can pick it up on heart rate variability. They can see the negative impact on the heart. So my husband quit drinking, and he wasn't an alcoholic, but he doesn't even let a drop of alcohol touch his lips in years. He celebrates that because it's a negative return on investment. It's hurting my heart. Why am I doing that?

So even marijuana use has been linked to increased AFib. It's a known thing because we think it calms you down, but just like alcohol calms you in the moment, but it actually makes your nervous system unable to, so it's part of maybe that vagal tone, makes it less able to be tonified, to be able to handle stress. So now the things that wouldn't stress you out so much tomorrow stress you out even more. Then it becomes part of that addictive cycle. Then you have to go back to it just to get back to normal. Then you become dependent on it.

So I know that pot in and of itself isn't addictive like cigarettes are or heroin, but it is in that for you to start to feel normal, you become dependent on it. Break that cycle. Then don't allow pressure on your thoracic spine. Make sure you go to see a chiropractor. You can do the inversion table at home, start to stretch out your spine, but stress—all these things I talked about increase stress in the body. So the stress, physical stress, emotional stress, mental stress, stress on the body, increases the chances of AFib. So this makes sense that the Vagu Vibe helps with that because it is tonifying the nerve that is going to the heart. It's calming everything. It's saying, hey nervous system, you are safe. So now it calms the waters. It stills the waters.

That makes complete sense. I'm so excited for that because when you go to an MD cardiologist, they're, OK, well, we have drugs, we have beta blockers, we have all these drugs which have negative side effects. You're going to live a shorter life and a lesser quality of life if you have to be on all these drugs. Then we're going to go in and we're going to cut, we're going to burn parts of the nerves in your heart.

There are obviously bigger risks with that. Some people have had that procedure and are happy with the results, but there are people who have had that procedure and are not happy with the results. So you're burning parts of your body. I would rather someone do something, put a pendant around their neck and drink some water and feel better and have less than have to go in for a major surgery that is irreversible. So excited that you're seeing that.

Mark L. Fox (1:10:56.360)

I didn't want to throw out another product, but we have an electrolyte powder called PMF Booster that we'll have in a couple of weeks. What you just said, magnesium is the key thing to PMF to really get the right recipe and get the right amount of magnesium. Liquid IV obviously owns 80% of that market in that space, but we formulated one specifically for PEMF.

Ashley James (1:11:19.096)

I'm interested. Why is it different? How is it different? Are you allowed to say?

Mark L. Fox (1:11:23.232)

Yes, it cheated. So I went to ChatGPT and seven other AIs and said, go scour the whole world and tell me what's the best recipe and why.

And they said, you need this much magnesium, you need this much potassium, here's why, here's the studies that it references, blah, blah, blah, all that. So I'm like, all right, cool, we're patenting that.

Ashley James (1:11:45.439)

I'm looking forward to trying it. That's going to be interesting. Anytime you can get good magnesium in you, do it. We can't get enough of it. We are just deficient as a species. We're deficient in magnesium. There's 60 minerals we need. Magnesium is only one of them. I have a two or three hour interview with Carolyn Dean. I think it's three hours. I think we had to break it up. I can't remember if we broke it up, but it was a huge interview about magnesium that I did with Dr. Carolyn Dean years ago. Then I've done a series, I think about seven interviews about magnesium as well, following up with that with a different expert.

If I can boil it down to one sentence, the body uses magnesium in 1800 enzymatic processes in the body. Out of all the minerals, the second most is zinc at 800. So calcium isn't even in the top two. So you've got to make sure now we want it in the right ratios. If you only take, for example, high dose vitamin C, you're actually depleting yourself of copper. If you only take too much selenium and no copper, you're depleting yourself of copper. If you take a ton of magnesium, you're putting the calcium out of balance and you're depleting yourself of other things. So we want it in the right ratios, but we're starved. We're starved of magnesium.

So that's exciting. Any good magnesium product I'm excited by. But why, and I think I know why, but I want you to tell us why. Why create a magnesium rich electrolyte supplement? When there's so many out there, why should you do it?

Mark L. Fox (1:13:32.260)

I was just looking for one that was specific to enhance PMF sessions. Yes, they all hydrate you and they help with electrolytes, but what is the right combination? I knew of some other studies where specifically magnesium increased the effectiveness of the PMF at the cellular level and stuff that they could measure. There just hasn't been a lot of research on it, but it was interesting how much GPT found in AI and the other ones of the other research and things that are out there.

So speaking of research and doctors, we got a few more minutes here, but the one that I got to talk to, he's coming up in 15 minutes. I lost the power last, all that bad stuff. The technology and internet, and I lost the internet last time and we had to reschedule and all those things. So we continue this on the next one too, but ask me one or two more important questions maybe, or ask me something fun.

Ashley James (1:14:28.711)

Yes, yes, for sure. So for people that don't understand how this technology works, or maybe could you just explain the powder you're coming out with that makes it work more? So why does a good electrolyte supplement make PMF work more on a cellular level?

Mark L. Fox (1:14:50.517)

I could tell by the description you just gave earlier, you can answer that question better than me. I don't know. I'm just going with what research is out there. I don't know the chemistry level of why. I was just looking at what research has been done on it and tell me what the correct recipe ought to be. We want to go run our own studies on that too.

Mark doesn't have an investor. Mark is burning retirement money. There’s so many studies I can do and in a certain amount of time. If Mark Zuckerberg would give me part of my money back, because I'm not kidding. He has all my money, all of it.

Ashley James (1:15:28.626)

If I won the lottery, I wouldn't say invest, I would just donate money to you so you could go do a ton of studies. Because I really feel we need more studies on holistic health. I don't need another study on how a drug works or if it works. I need studies on how we're supporting the body's ability to heal itself.

My explanation would be that your technology utilizes the water in our body. We're mostly water. It's utilizing water to send the waves of signal, the frequency, to every cell in a wave, because we are more energy and more frequency than we are matter. It's understanding that it's affecting us on that level.

When we have full hydration with the right electrolytes, electrolytes carry the signal stronger. That just makes sense. It helps the charge of every cell. The charge of every cell matters because that's how we take in nutrients and oxygen and expel toxins. So every cell is going to work better when the charge is there. Your red blood cells don't stick together. They're not sticky anymore. They're all individuals. Now they're able to fully take in what they're supposed to take in, all the oxygen.

So the exchange of nutrients and oxygen just works better. So I'm very, very excited to try that. I already feel the vibe works, so to enhance it would be really cool.

Okay, this watch is coming out. Did you invent this watch? I'm incredibly excited about this watch. Because to be able to measure those, to be able to easily measure your heart rate variability and blood sugar and blood pressure and your sleep, that seems a dream come true. I can't wait to dive into that. So that's coming out soon and then you're going to do studies with it.

Mark L. Fox (1:17:26.962)

R and D have multiple meanings. It stands for research and development. It also stands for Robin Duplicate. So to answer your question, I stole an off-the-shelf watch part. Stole. I'm partnering with them. So I'm not starting from scratch. I'm just saying pull out heart rate variability. It's separate.

Change this, change that, make sure I can put it in the cloud so I can do AI analysis. So yes, I started with a watch that's already out there. I'm just using it for some different purposes and had to program some new things.

Ashley James (1:18:01.520)

You're pragmatic. Yes, you're pragmatic. You're starting with the technology, but you're improving it and you're improving, especially the software. You're improving it. I know you're just joking when you say stole. You have a huge heart. You're very giving. You're smart. You're pragmatic. You're not starting from scratch, but you're going to take this and now you're going to expand on it.

Mark L. Fox (1:18:22.402)

You know what Mark Twain said? Mark Twain said how you become a great writer. You keep reading, keep reading, keep reading, keep reading other people's stuff, then forget where you read it. Everyone in the world, I mean, Newton said that. If I'm a giant from standing on other people's shoulders, everyone builds on everyone else's stuff. If you don't think you do, you're delusional. Okay. You don't live in a vacuum. So you had to learn about other things and that's the way the world works. It's trying. Repurpose stuff, take things, make it a little bit different, add something to it. I did that with these protocols and stuff. It took 8,000 practitioners and 35 years and I fine tuned things and had to write some on my own, but it's all coming from learning from what other people were doing and stuff, so.

Ashley James (1:19:05.808)

When can we get the blue vibe?

Mark L. Fox (1:19:09.944)

I'm not told this study is done. I got to find a clinic to do it, which is why I need that call in 10 minutes because that's the clinic. I'm hoping some guy introduced me because I found a person. The way it started was, OK, I need this blood work. A.I. told me literally, I told it, what surveys do I run and what blood tests do I do for this study? It gave me a list of which ones I can afford.

So then I showed it to this one doctor who's a partner with me and he's, I got the perfect guy to do it for you. So I got him on the call a couple of days ago and he's, actually I can do all the blood work, but I know another lab and these won't say their names because if they say no, he's two of the top guys in the world in this space. They can do everything for you. They can do all the study.

So that's the call I have with that ding, ding, ding. Then we're to go talk to these guys and see how much money I got to borrow from my wife to run this study.

Ashley James (1:20:02.820)

So with this episode, I feel it's a call out to everyone listening. I would say universe, but I don't know if any aliens are listening. The call out to the earth, to everyone listening: if you have any connections, first of all, buy a vibe. Go to learntrail.com/vibe, buy a vibe, try. Or if you want to get the Vagu Vibe also, go to learntrail.com/bundle, get both of them. You're going to be sharing it with your friends and family, but wear it a few times a week.

Try the PTSD setting. My gosh, I love that one. Or the general inflammation. Those are two really good ones to start. Go back and listen to episode 532 to learn more. Then share with your friends and family. Share this episode.

If you have doctors, if you are a doctor, your clinic or something, any kind of connection you think would help Mark propel his mission forward, maybe you could wrap up today's interview by sharing: What is your mission to those who are listening who could then help plug in and help spread your mission? What is your mission here on this planet?

Mark L. Fox (1:21:09.096)

Wow, that's a big way to close. I'm just making stuff up. Actually, I don't know. I never expected to be in this space at all. My dog was sick. I'm an expert rocket scientist. I own part of a woman's clothing company. I've tried to create music and art from DNA. I'm curious. I poke around. I don't make any money yet, but this is the funnest job I've ever had in my life. I don't have a boss. We're helping people and pets. I mean, we're hiring new people, and I tell people, this is going to be the most satisfying job you've ever had. There's going to be some frustrating stuff, but this is not Housewives of Orange County.

These are real people that have trauma, miscarriages, crappy husbands or boyfriends or both. We have people who have been tortured. People have been held hostage. We have customers like that, and my team's got to talk to real people. That is super satisfying, and it's stressful as hell too, because we're not doctors. We're trying to help people. Most people who come to this technology are either long-term physically or mentally broken, or usually both. Nothing else has worked for them, so that's why they come to find it.

Ashley James (1:22:20.048)

Well, off air, we've had a really great conversation about your mission and what you're here to achieve. I've heard more of your story off air, but what I can say is you are incredibly humble. I know that you feel you have a sense of purpose to take this passion you have and help the world and help others with it. How many ways can you find frequency to help people overcome emotional, mental, spiritual, physical ailments? How many ways can you help? Could you imagine if the blue vibe ends up being the thing that Alzheimer's doesn't have to exist anymore?

We can end PTSD, you've proven it. You can have, or 98% a complete improvement is outstanding. I know it's not curing it for everyone, but 98% outstanding results.

So imagine if we could take these things that hundreds of thousands of people suffer from and support them naturally. I am so excited for the mission that you're on. So thank you for what you do. I want you to keep coming back and sharing, because I think every time you're going to come back, you're going to be sharing another study, another technology that builds upon the foundation, using frequency as medicine. I'm such a huge fan of what you do, Mark. Thank you so much. I know you got to run to that call. It's going to be another building block into the future.

Listeners, please, please share this episode and also share episode 532 so that we can help Mark help the world. Thank you so much for coming on the show, and I can't wait to have you back.

Mark L. Fox (1:24:10.400)

Thank you so much for having me, Ashley. I really enjoyed it.

Outro:

I'm so glad you enjoyed today's interview with Mark Fox. Isn't he awesome? I can't wait to have him back on the show. I know I was disappointed when he had to go, but he had a really important meeting, and I totally understand that he's working so hard on advancing this field. I'm really, really excited to hear him come back on the show and talk about how he's helping to reverse dementia. That is amazing. Can you imagine the quality of life that we're going to help people with? This is why it's so important to share this episode with those you care about, because they need to get on the email list. Go to LearnTrueHealth.com, get on the email list. Scroll all the way to the bottom. They need to subscribe to the Learn True Health podcast so that when Mark Fox and others come on the show to share this kind of life-changing information that could restore someone's mental capacity, that could reverse dementia, for example. That is worth keeping your ear to the ground for. That is worth sharing this episode for the concept of helping people on that level. How exciting is that?

One thing I do is I help people reverse type 2 diabetes. It's very easy to help people reverse it. I do it all the time, and so many of my clients are freed from what they were told they'd have for the rest of their lives. That's just one example. I help people get free of what they're told they'll always have and they're suffering with it. This is holistic health. We can help people get free from what they are suffering from. They're needlessly suffering because they don't have to suffer from it, but they don't even know that these answers are out there. That's why you have to help me by sharing this podcast and others with as many people as possible, so that we can spread the message that true health is out there for them, and they can achieve it. Through these kinds of podcasts, we can help people in that way.

This is what I live for. If we can help you, to help your mom, to help your sister, to help your husband, to help your kids, if we can help you to help your friends, and they help their sister and their friends, this ripple turns into a tidal wave, and you don't realize that sharing this with someone ended up helping 10 people or transforming the lives of even one family. That's so worth it. It's so worth it.

The links I want to make sure you have are in the show notes of the podcast and also in the description, wherever you're listening, from LearnTrueHealth.com/vibe. If you'd like to purchase just the Vibe, which is great, the frequency-specific microcurrent PEMF device. If you want to get the bundle, which I recommend, that's LearnTrueHealth.com/bundle for the Vibe and Vagu Vibe. If you want just the Vagu Vibe, maybe you already have the Vibe, that's LearnTrueHealth.com/vaguvibe. If you want to get a two-pack of Vibes because you don't want to have to fight over them anymore with your kids or your spouse, then that's LearnTrueHealth.com/pack.

Thank you so much for being a listener, and thank you so much for sharing this, because every time you share this, you don't know the unknown ripple that takes place, and you may be helping someone end their needless suffering. I cried myself to sleep in desperation. I felt I was dying in some of the worst times of my life when my health was completely escaping me. I remember praying and begging and just clutching my pillow, crying. I think back now to those times, and I know my podcast is reaching the people who are currently in those moments in their life. I want my podcast and the guests they get to hear, and my message, to reach them and tell them healing is possible. True health is theirs. It's their birthright. Their body can heal itself, and I want to show them how.

Thank you for sharing it, because we're going to end the suffering of so many people, and that's what I live for. So thank you, and have a wonderful rest of your day.
